Mardi Gras

This year my friends tried something new (to us): The St. Ann parade, Bywater.  It’s a small, homemade parade comprised of everyone who shows up.  And, wow, DO people show up!  There were so many crazy costumes and props.  The parade route was a little confusing, as every time we turned a corner there seemed to be another offshoot heading toward us.  All part of the celebration.

Thoth day parade on Sunday:  We had a perfect spot on a balcony above the CC’s on Jefferson.  Some friends at their apartment across the street ended up with a bag of beads through their closed window.
